A Place of Hope
Our desire is for every person to connect to the Hope found in Christ. And that they will Embrace Hope, Strengthen Hope and Share Hope with others.
Eight years ago I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and life has been an up and down journey ever since. Some days are better than others, but I always try to be positive even on the days there are trials. My faith in Christ is everything to me. I lean on Christ on the days when I feel like I can’t go on. His strength is perfect when my strength is gone. Sharing His Hope with others is what gets me through. I’m thankful for my CFN family.
My name is Clifton and I came to CFN last year with my family. I accepted Christ and got baptized. I started attending Youth Group and was blessed to attend Youth Camp last summer. It made a profound difference in my life and I want to continue to grow deeper in my faith. I Strengthen Hope by participating in Youth Group, Sunday School and Special Events.
My name is Jay and I was invited to CFN by a neighbor for Easter 2014. I had been away from the Lord for 40 years. The first time I came to church and walked across the parking lot I felt such a sense of welcome. And when I entered the sanctuary, I was overwhelmed by the power of God’s presence. I’m amazed that even at my age, I can be born again. In Christ, I have a brand new start. I love Sharing Hope every Saturday at the Bread of Life Food Pantry. After a recent heart attack, I’m thankful to be alive and thankful for all God has done for me. By the grace of God, go I.
"Humans can survive without water for about 3 days, and survive without food for about 3 weeks… however, humans cannot survive 1 second without HOPE." Without having hope in life, we have absolutely nothing at all. To me, my personal source of hope is God. As I’ve grown up, I’ve experienced incredible things, however, I’ve also had periods of bad times. One of the biggest battles I’ve faced is with anxiety. When moments of panic occur, it seems almost impossible for it to go away. My thoughts become consumed with everything going on around me, and it becomes too much to handle. Yet, with God by my side, I’ve discovered that even this battle could not stop me. With the hope I have in God, I can overcome these moments of panic and find faith in my battles.
